EVERYDAY STORIES
One email too many
A message looks official and asks you to act immediately. Should you click, or take time to check?

01
The scene
A message lands in your inbox. The tone is serious — almost angry. "Your access will be removed." There's a big button, a link underlined in blue. You're afraid of missing something important. Your finger hovers.
02
In the room
On stage, the character clicks… and things go sideways. The room exhales. Then we rewind: what pushed them? What could they have done instead? Young and older voices mix in the discussion.
03
The right habits
01
Don't click under pressure
A real organisation won't make you decide in ten seconds. Let the message sit for a moment.
02
Open the site yourself
Go to the service you already know — type the address, use your app — without touching the link in the message.
03
Ask for a second opinion
Show the message to someone you trust before you act. Two sets of eyes beat one.
Keep these in mind
- Don't click.
- Open the site yourself.
- Ask someone.
04
Same scene, different ending
People keep the image of that big "ACT NOW" button — and the same scene replayed: phone down, a breath, check another way.
A wrong click can happen to anyone. What matters is learning to slow down before you move.
